ADSL Broadband > INLINE FILTER Usage Instruction
ADSL Inline Filter
An ADSL Inline filter separates the telephone service from the ADSL data. Without ADSL inline filters, your voice calls will receive interference when ADSL data is being transmitted. One ADSL inline filter is required between each telephone device and the telephone wall outlet. This includes (fax machines, fax/modems, answering machines, cordless phones and alarm dialers.)
ADSL Inline Filter Installation
For each device that shares the ADSL phone number.
- Unplug the device's cord from the wail socket.
- If you have a modular RJ11 /RJ45 telephone wall socket, connect the ADSL inline filter plug directly into the RJ11/RJ45 telephone socket on the wall.
- Plug the phone cord {or other device cord) into the PHONE socket on the ADSL inline filter.
ADSL Modem/Router Installation
Unless your ADSL Modem/Router has been supplied with a combined SPLITTER/FILTER, it must be connected directly to the telephone line without an ADSL inline filter.
